One Bad News after Another

Sam's last day of service is this week!

His company just informed him yesterday that there will be restructuring and thus he will has no job. They will only be paying him this salary for this month plus 2 months notice period and any leave unconsumed.


I think there should be some severance package given and he has worked there for more than 5 years. Now I am looking for points to support the basis that he should be entitled to the package.

oh dear. Sam certainly is entitled to severance package!

dear, looking at his level the company is not obligated to give.
It's how the employer and employee agree on the package.

Anyway nothing more was given other than 2 months notice period and April's salary.

Now he is busy with his temp work, working for more than 10hrs a day. No time for him to search for job as well unless weekends and PH.
