Day 1
I slept late the night before departure to do some last minute packing and to make sure I have gotten everything packed.
Next morning woke up at about 4am to wash up and prepare the kids and off we go to the meet up point at one of Jurong estate's MSCP.
We lost our way and could not find the entrance to the MSCP. Stephen guided us in and finally met up with the group. Rachel still had not arrived at the meeting time (5am) and we decided to meet her at Petronas after clearing Tuas Checkpoint.
There was a long stretch of traffic at Tuas Checkpoint and it took us about an hour or so to clear immigration. We met up with Rachel and head off to Cameron Highland at 7am!
Journey was long and we had 2 stops only. It took us about 10 hours of driving to reach Cameron Highland as we are driving at a speed of 120km/hr. We could have reach there earlier and drove at a faster speed.

Journey uphill was not comfortable. I had the nausea feeling; Adel's too. Luckily we stop midway uphill at Petronas to top up petrol and have a rest. Upon reaching hotel, Adel puked.
Guess she could not take the spiral plus fast and furious uphill ride.
We had steamboat for dinner, RM$15 per pax. Disappointing as not much variety of seafood or meats (fish or beef). I was expecting the same kind of spread we would have in Singapore. There was a wide variety of vegetables though.
We ended the day with some local night market food.
Day 2
I woke up early and brought Adel down to The Coffee Shop for breakfast with Rachel and family. Sam was too tired and he preferred to sleep in together with Kennzo.
We rested for awhile and then left the hotel for some farm visits.

We rested for awhile and then left the hotel for some farm visits.
First stop was to the Butterfly Farm and next to the Bee Farm, followed by the Strawberry Farm.
I was expecting the weather to be cold and brought quite a number of long sleeve clothings for the kids. No way, it was cool yet hot outside. We had to make our way back to hotel and change the kids into something comfy and not warm.
Adel had absolute fun at the farms.
We bought dinner at the local night market and some side dishes with rice at the local chinese restaurant. After dinner, it was chilling out at the hotel lounge.
Day 3
Another early day.
It was just breakfast and packing up, then gathered at the hotel lobby for check out.
Another long and nausea journey downhill.

Another long and nausea journey downhill.
We had planned to go to Ipoh but shelved off the plan as we were simply too tired.
I took over the wheels halfway through the journey and headed back to Singapore. So exciting, my first drive in a foreign land! Sam and the kids are fast asleep and I nearly did as the drive was simply too slow.
We finally reached Tuas Checkpoint at about 7pm.
There was a long queue and it's not moving at all. We were stupid enough to join the queue for 1.5 hours before deciding to cut queue by going into the bus and lorries lane.
Sam and I were simply exhausted by the time we reached home.
